The Finnish national LGBT organization Seta is a natural partner for Malkus. The association gets allowances from Seta and is entitled to use its facilities. In Seta’s regional organizations like Lahden Seta Ry, there are social groups with the name Malkus, which you can find here, that adhere to the principles defined in the Malkus concept, maintained by the association. The association itself has no regular group activity. Check more info about Malkus here.

The board game group focuses on board and card games and is for everyone interested in these games. Anyone is welcome, you do not need to be a member of Lahden SETA ry or a minority. You are very welcome to bring your own games with you. The group meets about once a month. It would be great if you arrive to the meeting early, because many of the games are quite long and for this reason should be started as soon as possible.

Some of the games can not be joined mid-game, and so those who arrive later may have to wait to play. You can also come even if you do not want to play, but in that case please respect the players by keeping your voice down and trying not to disturb the players. The group instructors are Heidi and Tomi, two board game enthusiasts.
The recommended age for the group is 16+, but if you have an adult with you, there is no age limit. If you are below 16 but would be interested in the group, you can contact the group instructors at info@lahdenseta.fi. The board game group is organized by Lahden SETA ry.

LAHTI PRIDE MOVED TO NEXT YEAR!

Lahti Pride is a human rights event open to everyone. It is organised annually by Lahden SETA ry. The Finnish government, in cooperation with the President of the Republic, declared on March 16th a state of emergency in Finland over the coronavirus outbreak. In addition to taking various measures, the government appeals to everyone to avoid all social gatherings and to avoid spending unnecessary time in public spaces. This has an effect on the Pride events organised in Finland.

To do our part in the fight against coronavirus we have decided to move the Lahti Pride festival forward by one year from May. Your health is our priority, and we hope that with this decision we are able to curb the strain on health care systems for our part.

Lahti Pride 2021 will be held from May 17th to 23rd 2021. The theme for the Lahti Pride 2021 festival is “Love at every age”. The aim of the program is to facilitate interaction between different generations.
